Joseph Amaraegbeni is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW), Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
Joseph Amaraegbeni holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy and a master's degree in social work (MSW). He possesses specialized training and experience working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, high stress, integration, and acculturation. He is also trained in Solution Focused Therapy, CPR/AED, Crisis intervention skills,/Crisi Prevention Intervention (CPI), Mental Health Awareness Program by Mood Disorders Association of Ontario, Mental Health Practice in Ontario course, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Ontario Common Assessment of Need Training, New Knowledge New steps for Newcomers Program and Working in The Toronto Shelter System, at Centennial College. Joseph has been providing assessments, treatment and counselling to individuals, couples, youth, children, and families, focusing on a variety of issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, sleep problems, anger management, adjustment difficulties and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder for 5 years.
Presently, he works for Farah Family Solutions Inc. as a Clinical Immigration/Refugee Therapist.
